ETF Robotics PhD student Branko Lukić won best student paper award at 28th International Conference on Robotics in Alpe-Adria-Danube Region (RAAD 2019) in Kaiserslautern, Germany. Branko is awarded for the paper entitled “KUKA LWR Robot Cartesian Stiffness Control Based on Kinematic Redundancy”, which is done in collaboration with Dr. Tadej Petric and Dr. Leon Zlajpah from Jozef Stefan Institute in Slovenia.

Smart Regions with Smart Robots
Members of the ETF Robotics research group attended “Smart Regions with Smart Robots” conference. Event was hosted by the Committee of Regions (Brussels), and organized by the European Commission Directorate General for Communications Networks, Content & Technology. This meeting aimed to join forces at all levels, in order to provide benefit from robotics technology to our society.
FS4SMIH European project
ETF robotics research group starts its participation in the “Feasibility Study for Serbian Manufacturing Innovation Hub – FS4SMIH” European project, within I4MS (ICT Innovation for Manufacturing SMEs) initiative. The FS4SMIH project is funded from the larger Horizon2020 ReconCell project (A Reconfigurable robot workCell for fast set-up of automated assembly processes in SMEs – ReconCell). In the next six months researchers will thoroughly study potentials of robotics in Serbia.
ETF Robotics students won Winter School on Variable Stiffness Actuators Competition
ETF Robotics students Kosta Jovanovic and Predrag Milosavljevic were members of the winning team during Winter School on Variable Stiffness Actuators, held in Rome, Italy, February 20-25, 2015. Winter school was organized by Natural Machine Motion Initiative (NMMI) and project Saphari. The topic of the school and competiotion itself was control of robots driven by variable stiffness actuators (VSA).
ETF Robotics at New Technologies in Education Fair
Visit us at Fair for New Technologies in Education at Belexpo Center in Belgrade on February 27th and 28th. We are going to demonstrate possibilities of use of virtual laboratories in education and professional training, and present our virtual laboratories for robotics and hydraulics. The fair is organized by British Council and Embassy of Great Britain in Serbia and Ministry of Education, Science and Technology development.
Interactive workshops for high school students
ETF Robotics group in cooperation with Serbian Center for the Promotion of Science and Erste Bank is going to organize events for high school students in Cacak and Valjevo. Program includes a science popular presentation about contemporary robots as well as workshops for domestic schools. The most successful teams will be awarded by Lego Mindstorm Robotics set.

Fabrika znanja
ETF Robotics group in cooperation with Serbian Centre for Promotion of Science and Comtrade has organized workshops in field of robotics during manifestation “Fabrika znanja” in Podgorica. Students of primary and secondary schools competed in building and programming LEGO robots, and the best teams received rewards.
