Robots in Belgrade: 24/9 – 15/10/2012

Festival “Days of Future: Robotics” will be held from September 24 until October 15. The first popular-science festival in the Western Balkans is dedicated to robots and it will take place in the center of Belgrade, in the old deparment store Beograd in Knez Mihailova Street.

During festival, visitors will see twenty most advanced robots from around the world. The rich program includes lectures of notable local and international speakers, film screenings and workshops.

The highlight of the festival is the three-day presentation of the most advanced robot in the world and the walking sensation – Japanese humanoid robot Asimo. He will be on display at Kolarac Hall on September 24 – 26. This unique robot can walk, run, kick the ball, responds to voice commands, wave, shake hands, and many more.

In addition, visitors will see another humanoid robot Eccerobot (Embodied Cognition in a Compliantly Engineered Robot), which will be on display on October 1- 2.

The goal of the “Days of Future: Robotics” is to present new scientific findings in light of what people can expect in the future. 

Tickets for Asimo Show cost 200 dinars (100 dinars for groups) and can be purchased at the Kolarac Hall and Ušće Shopping Mall.
